Grand Rapids Also Has A Pretty Good Teddy Bear Toss

The 20th Annual Teddy Bear Toss is this Sunday when the Sarnia Sting host the Oshawa Generals. If you’ve never been, it’s where people bring stuffed animals to the game and throw them on the ice when the Sting score their first goal (click here for more info).

The Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings) held their Teddy Bear Toss this past Friday night. 4,000 stuffed animals were donated to the Hug A Bear campaign in Kent County. To give you an idea of what 4,000 stuffed animals being thrown onto the ice looks like, here’s the full video:

Be sure to join us this Sunday at Progressive Auto Sales Arena…and bring a bear with you! (or two…or three)
