3 Reasons Why You Will Love The Vegas Golden Knights
When the Vegas Golden Knights entered the NHL this year, they were expected to be nothing more than lovable losers. The roster was made up of expansion draft castaways from the other teams around the league and a terrible first season was in their sights just like every other expansion team in recent memory. However, the Golden Knights have become a phenomenon in the NHL. Winning their 50th game of the season on the weekend, they’re now Pacific Division champs and a run at the Stanley Cup is a real possibility. On top of the fact that they’re actually a good team, here are 3 reasons you’ll fall in love with the Vegas Golden Knights.
1. They’re fun to watch.
William Karlsson has become a household name in Vegas partly due to highlight reel goals like this one:
2. They’re hilarious on Twitter.
Most teams will just post highlights packages and fan photos (to which Vegas is no exception), but they use Twitter to allow fans to kill time in between periods…by asking questions that have nothing to do with the game:

3. They retired #58 to honour those lost to the concert shooting in October.
In what was arguably one of the most tear-inducing moments in sports this year, The Golden Knights retired #58 in a pregame ceremony to honour the victims of the October concert shooting on the Vegas strip. As you can imagine, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
A classy move by a classy organization.
Most people will never jump ship and change their favourite team. Your reasons for being a Leafs fan or Red Wings fan or Canadiens fan (or any team’s fan) is usually rooted from childhood and will never waiver. However, you have to admit that it’s impossible to not at least have a soft spot for the Vegas Golden Knights.
