1945 was the last time a Canadian-born pitcher threw a no-hitter in Major League Baseball. Dick Fowler of the Philadelphia Athletics was the last guy to pull it off before last night.

Seattle Mariners lefty James Paxton took to the mound at the Rogers Centre in Toronto against a Blue Jays batting order that’s 4th in the American League in runs scored.

That didn’t seem to bother Paxton one bit:
