Kane Brown hit up Facebook on Thursday to radically change the story he told about getting lost on his own 30-acre property a while back.

First of all, his wife wasn’t with him. It was Kane, a friend, and the friend’s girlfriend.

After they got lost, Kane called his songwriter buddy Ryan Upchurch, and he showed up with another guy.

But they weren’t much help, because before you know it, all five of them were lost.

And this is where it gets bizarre.

The Ryan Upchurch guy asked four of his friends to help, and while they were riding nearby, they started getting SHOT at.

That’s when the police were called.

“[Then] the cops arrive and hear the gun shots and think we’re shooting at them. We yell at them and tell them we’re not armed and made it out. That’s the story, but I love the ‘getting lost in my back yard’ better.”

It’s not clear who was firing the shots, and there’s no word why Kane didn’t tell the true story in the first place.
