Kenny Chesney has postponed his tour until 2022, according to a post he shared on social media on Monday, March 22nd.

He had hoped to return to the road this year, but after considering varying pandemic precautions from city to city, he opted to move the entire trek to next year.

All of the stadiums on the 2021 itinerary will still host Kenny’s 2022 tour, including Ford Field in Detroit.

It will be a completely new show with a new name and a new line-up.

Current tickets will be honoured for the rescheduled show date.

Patrons unable to attend the rescheduled shows may request a refund at the original point of purchase.

“We have waited for so long, I can’t play knowing I would disappoint a portion of No Shoes Nation who wouldn’t be able to get into the stadiums and the amphitheatres. There’s no way around that this year. As much I hate postponing further, I would hate telling people who waited we won’t be able to let them come due to capacity restrictions. That’s just not fair.”

The rescheduled dates for Kenny’s 2022 tour will be announced shortly.

The original 2020 tour was called the Chillaxification Tour and it was to feature special guests Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti & Spearhead.
