Chris Stapleton, Darius Rucker, Mickey Guyton and Jon Pardi represent mainstream country on The Metallica Blacklist, an album featuring artists from all genres paying tribute to Metallica.

More than four dozen artists included on the project chose their favourite Metallica song to cover from the band’s 1991 The Black Album. The Metallica Blacklist will be released on September 10th.

Jon takes on “Wherever I May Roam,” along with three other artists, while Chris, Darius and Mickey all chose “Nothing Else Matters.” Twelve artists in total covered that hit.

All profits from sales of The Metallica Blacklist will be split evenly between Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation and a charity selected by each artist.

Chris has chosen his own Outlaw State of Kind; Darius selected the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital; Jon chose the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism; and Mickey is working with the United Negro College Fund.
