CMT To Honour Charley Pride
Luke Combs, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, and Gladys Knight are among the artists paying homage to the late Charley Pride in an upcoming CMT Giants concert special slated to air on the cable network on August 25th at 8 p.m.
The 90-minute special will also include performances and tributes from Alan Jackson, Darius Rucker, Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton and Texas Rangers legend Nolan Ryan, to name a few.
The show will also feature appearances from Charley’s widow Rozene and son Dion. Rozene said,
“I am delighted to have so many giants in the business celebrate the legacy of Pride. He would have been so happy to see the artists give so generously of their time and talent honoring him. This truly is a testament to the impact that he had on the country music community for so many years.”
Charley died from Covid complications in December at the age of 86.
