Maren Morris Thrilled To Be Up For CMA Awards
Maren Morris is the CMA’s reigning Female Vocalist of the Year, a category that she is again nominated for this year, along with Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year for her duet with Ryan Hurd, “Chasing After You.”
Maren said being nominated again in the Female Vocalist category is no less thrilling than it was in the past.
“It’s always kind of shocking to get nominated for CMA Female Vocalist just because the giants that have left footprints from that category are huge, and having won the award last year for Female Vocalist was so emotional and such a shock. I am just always floored and I love that especially the last few years that category has really mirrored the women that have been the most active in that year in their body of work.”
The 55th Annual CMA Awards will be held in Nashville on November 10th.
