Keith Urban Fills In For Bryan Adams At Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction
Keith Urban stepped in for Bryan Adams at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, October 30th after Adams tested positive for COVID-19.
Urban instead participated in a tribute performance to Tina Turner alongside H.E.R., Christina Aguilera and Mickey Guyton.
Urban was accompanied to the ceremony by his wife, actress Nicole Kidman.
He told SiriusXM’s Volume backstage at the event that he was called to replace Adams on Thursday, October 28th, and only had time to squeeze in three run-throughs with H.E.R. before their live performance of “It’s Only Love,” according to Variety.
People reports that H.E.R. also spoke with the radio station prior to their performance and said she was “so anxious, nervous, excited — all of the above,” to work with Urban on such short notice.
A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony special is set to air on November 20th on HBO and HBO Max.
