Chris Young Can’t Wrap His Head Around 7 ACM Nominations
More than a week after Chris Young learned that he is the most-nominated artist heading into next month’s ACM Awards, he is still trying to embrace the news.
Chris is up for seven awards, including Album of the Year (Artist and Producer – Famous Friends), Single of the Year categories (Artist and Producer – “Famous Friends”), Music Event of the Year (Artist and Producer) and Video of the Year for his chart-topping hit “Famous Friends” featuring Kane Brown.
“Honestly, having seven nominations at the ACM Awards is just still something I can barely wrap my brain around. I know that it’s real because I’ve talked to everybody and my phone has blown up and everybody’s talked to me about how cool it is. But, you know, just when you get down to it, I’ve never been the most nominated artist at any award show ever. And for the very first time that it happens, for it to be the ACMs, that is something that is just incredibly special.”
It was also just announced that Chris will perform at the ACM Awards, which will be held in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium on March 7th.
For the first time ever, the show will be live-streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime beginning at 8 p.m.
