Lainey Wilson Struggled When She First Got To Nashville
Before Lainey Wilson started getting noticed, she was just another singer in Nashville suffering for her art.
She lived in a camper with a broken furnace, and it was so cold she could see her own breath.
She had to wrap herself in jackets just to keep warm. But the important thing she DID have, was her faith in God.
“I had some of the darkest days of my entire life in that camper. I thought, ‘Lord, I hope this is temporary [because] it’s hard.’ I knew deep in my heart that it was only preparing me. It was the Lord’s way of showing me, ‘Look, this ain’t going to be easy. It ain’t going to be what you thought it was going to be, but I’m preparing you to be able to say more, to share more.'”
Now that she’s been through the tough part she hopes her experience sets an example for others just like her.
“I moved to Nashville to make history and show a lot of the people who were raised like me, who, coming from tiny little towns, that you can do anything you set your mind to. Don’t let anybody tell you no. Go get the dang thing.”
Things are looking up for Lainey. She just shared the news a few weeks ago that she is going to be on the upcoming season of Yellowstone.
