Lainey Wilson Explains Why She Wears Bell Bottoms
About six years ago, Lainey Wilson decided to make bell bottoms her signature look, and it definitely paid off.
“I was really trying to figure out what could I do to stand apart from the rest of the females in Nashville, because it’s very important to do that. And what is something that is really true to me? For me it was the bell bottom throwback look. 2016 is when I decided, ‘alright, if I’m gonna do this, I need to wear bell bottoms and need to wear my vintage shirts and stuff like that, daily.'”
A year later she got her first publishing deal.
But she did raise eyebrows in Louisiana.
“People back home were like, ‘Why are you wearing those britches?’ But I didn’t let it stop me. I said, ‘No, I’m gonna stand out, even if it makes me look goofy for a minute.'”
