Fans Petition To Name Park After Loretta Lynn
Fans of late country music star Loretta Lynn are petitioning to have a state park named after her.
The petition is asking Kentucky’s General Assembly to rename Paintsville Lake State Park to “Loretta Lynn State Park.”
The park, which is located in the Johnson County section of Kentucky, is also the county where Lynn grew up.
Johnson County is about three hours east of Louisville, Kentucky.
The petition was launched on Change.org and has already neared its goal of 25,000 signatures.
