Long-Lost Johnny Cash Album Coming Out This Summer
Big news for fans of the Man in Black… Johnny Cash has a NEW ALBUM coming this summer, more than 20 years after his death.
It’s called “Songwriter”, and it will be released on June 28th.
It’s a collection of 11 original songs he wrote and recorded demos for in 1993.
Johnny passed away a decade later in 2003.
Only two of them have ever been released in any form: “Drive On” and “Like a Soldier” were both on his “American Recordings” album in 1994.
The other nine songs are brand new, he wrote them over 30 years ago.
His son John Carter Cash found the demos and rounded up a bunch of musicians to help flesh them out.
“Dad’s advice with anything, whether it was life or making music, was always ‘follow your heart.”
They just released the first track from it, called “Well Alright”.
