Toby Keith’s Daughter Accepts Honorary Degree On His Behalf
During the graduation ceremony at the University of Oklahoma on May 11, Toby Keith’s daughter received an honorary degree on behalf of her father.
The beloved country singer died on February 5 at the age of 62, following a diagnosis of stomach cancer in the fall of 2021.
Keith, a proud Oklahoman who was born in Clinton, Oklahoma, knew he was to receive the honour before his tragic death.
A heartfelt, appreciative post on Toby’s Instagram page on May 12 shared this about the special occasion.
The President of the University of Oklahoma, Joseph Harroz, Jr., also shared a photo from the ceremony featuring him alongside Tricia and Krystal Keith.
