Lainey Wilson Is The Newest Member Of The Grand Ole Opry
Lainey Wilson recently sang on “The Voice” and afterwards Reba McEntire surprised her with an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry.
Lainey was formally inducted on Friday, June 7, and her induction ceremony was really special.
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood showed up to support her and had the honour of making it official.
Lainey said,
“From a very early age, I wanted to come here. Then I wanted to play here, then I wanted to be a member. And it feels like I’ve taken a million steps to get there, but it also feels like one giant leap . . . so, I’m very excited and honored.”
