Darius Rucker Sentenced To One Year Probation On Drug Possession Charges
On Tuesday, September 10, Darius Rucker appeared in a Williamson County courtroom in Franklin, Tennessee, and pleaded no contest to his charge of simple possession of a controlled substance.
Following his no contest plea, Rucker’s other charges of simple possession and one count of driving with expired tags were dismissed.
The charges are tied to a 2023 traffic stop where officers found drugs in the car of the country singer. Rucker’s no contest plea also meant that he agreed to waive his right for a trial, while accepting a sentence of 11 months and 29 days probation.
If Rucker completes his probation with no additional law violations, the charges will subsequently be expunged from his permanent record.
