What Justin Moore Thinks About His Hometown Sign
Justin Moore’s hometown of Poyen (pronounced POE-en), Arkansas recently unveiled a ten-foot-tall sign welcoming visitors to Poyen, Arkansas, Home of Justin Moore, with his picture on it. And while Justin is honored that they would recognize him like that, he admits it all makes him a little uncomfortable.
“Well, you know me, it’s really not my style. I was kind of embarrassed by it, to be honest with you. Maybe still am. But I mean, I’m really proud and humbled and thankful to the city officials and the people responsible for doin’ it. But yeah, I mean, it’s neat. I think it’s cooler for like my family than myself. You know what I mean?”
And Justin isn’t the only one in his family that’s a little embarrassed by the new sign at the entrance of his hometown welcoming visitors to the home of Justin Moore with his picture on it.
“My kids just kinda rolled their eyes. They’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, dad, it’s so big!’ I’m like, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t know what to tell you.’ It’s kinda right beside where the baseball fields are, the softball field, the football field, the basketball gym. You turn right down this road. They go to it like daily, you know, so…”
