Reba McEntire Celebrating 50 Years In Country Music
Reba McEntire is set to host the ACM Awards on Thursday, and she’s also celebrating her 50-year anniversary in the country music industry.
She was first discovered by country star Red Steagall, who saw her perform the National Anthem at the National Finals Rodeo in 1974.
Red then helped Reba record her first demo and eventually get signed to Mercury Records.
In the 50 plus years since, Reba has won 16 ACM Awards, 15 American Music Awards, 9 People’s Choice Awards, 6 CMAs, and 3 Grammys.
She’s also a TV star and one of the best hosts out there.
