Survivor 50’s fourth episode earned the show’s worst IMDb rating ever at 4.2/10 after featuring an extended cameo by Zac Brown.

He received four confessional interviews and dedicated scenes showing him spearfishing and performing songs for the winning tribe’s reward.

Fans criticized the lengthy celebrity segment, arguing it wasted valuable screen time that could have showcased player strategy during a major blindside.

“We have 20 All-Star players left, and we’re watching Zac Brown spearfish and play guitar?” tweeted Tommy Smokes from Survivor Influencer Experience.

Brown personally pitched his appearance to host Jeff Probst, calling Survivor his favourite show. However, viewers felt the celebrity cameos contradicted the season’s “In the Hands of the Fans” theme.
