Toby Keith Accepts Award Via Video
Although Toby Keith wasn’t in attendance at the SabesWings Second Annual Strike Out Fundraiser in Paso Robles, California last week, he accepted the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award via video.
Toby had to bow out due to a “tough week” of treatments following last fall’s stomach cancer diagnosis.
Toby received the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his cancer-related patient support programs via the Toby Keith Foundation.
The Foundation built the OK Kids Korral to be a cost-free home for families of children being treated at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center.
The SabesWings Second Annual Strike Out Fundraiser was hosted by former all-star MLB baseball player Bret Saberhagen and his wife, Kandace.
The event raised $1,046,000 for the SabesWings charity which helps cancer patients in medical financial need.
